RobPascha
Hello, I am doing some research for an architectural project and I was wondering how to make a spectral material, like the images below. The look I want to create is like the images in the attachment. The material contains 2 main colours. The colour you see is depending upon the viewing angle. The panels used are Alucobond Spectral colour panels. Anyone knows how to simulate this effect with vray? I hope to hear some good advise. Thank you in advance! Best regards, Rob
jinsley
is it animated? why not use a blend material with the two colour choices and a large noise map?
jinsley
never mind... took another look and I don't think that will work...
andstef
I found this on http://www.vray-materials.de http://www.vray-materials.de/all_materials.php?mat=50 maybe you can modify this to get the desired result
WAcky
I think a pretty basic falloff map would work. Maybe that combined with a shellac base would look good. Thats probably how the material above is created.
Nic H
yeah falloff diffuse in a vray blend / shellac to get the glossy coating
