Milan.K
Hey, I'm a student in Ontario Canada taking Animation and looking to get into Architecture, but specially Visualization side of it (as is I specialize in texturing and rendering). I don't know how the industry works now as I've followed animation for quite some time and never thought this may be the career path for me till now. Again, I'm trying to do research so forgive me if I'm being obvious or ignorant or something. To get down to business, I have dual citizenship in Canada and Slovakia and am looking for schools in Ontario or Europe. I'd like to specialize in rendering interior or exterior scenes. Right now I specialize in Maya and Cinema 4D but I'm not worried to switch to another 3D program. I did look into the links for schools on this site, but all I can see is Barlett and Newcastle University. I'd like to find more options. And from what I understand I can goto any EU school without paying international fees. So simply enough, does anyone have any school suggestions in Ontario or Europe (English only schools) that specialize in Architecture Visualization? Thanks a lot guys, I'm happy I finally found a site that can educate me in this industry.

The benefit of going to an ill-suited course against using your spare time to self-learn, build a portfolio and network far out way the costs of schooling. However, I would always recommend academic pursuits as a non-vocational path. Using myself as an example; I dont think my architecture degree helped me get a job, just spiked my interest in arch-vis. But it does give me a fallback. It was also incredibly enjoyable and made me a better person.

I did something like that for my 3D work into Animation, but unfortunately I don't have the luxury of doing it again. I simply need to go back to school to finish off the Architecture side of my education. I do plan to practice 3ds max and autoCAD to keep me ahead of the game. I'd still like to keep my schooling up for now.
