Intel core i9(Gulftown) review---mmm 6cores

Recommended Posts

I wish the cost of xeons go down. Will rather go for two xeons than 1 gulftown... DanGrover thx for diagramm if it's correct. Is there any info of i9's stock power consumption on full 100% usage ? it's 32nm. it would be lower than i7 I presume, but want to know how much lower.

Click on the first link I posted and go almost to the bottom...they have graphs showing wattage and temp at idle and load.

I believe they are socket 1156 but the articles states they are backward compatible with socket 1366(i7)

From article:"Gulftown processors are backwards compatible with the LGA 1366 socket. The only thing you need to do to run them on today’s motherboards is a BIOS update."
