neko
i'm trying to understand what the resource collector actually does that would be an advantage over the archive function ? one aspect of my work is that i usually have an autocad model linked to MAX, although not usually at the end of the project, when i most certainly bind it in MAX. the resource collector doesn't seem to care about the linked .DWG i'd be interested to hear what people do to archive an entire project. I believe Resource Collector dumps them all in one folder, rather than in their folder structure as per archive, so perhaps there is some render-farm software that needs everything in one folder? Maybe. Perhaps. Probably not. I have no idea.
tayrona
IMO Archive is better option. it traps everything. About the "one folder solution" you can have all files in one folder after doing an archive, just active the option "Do not extract paths" in the Advanced Panel of Winrar when you are going to open de compressed file.
