RevitGary
The fur rug needs some work. Other than that, comments welcome. This is my first interior with mental ray.
Jonathan Sanchez
Nice modelling...I recognize this is a preview render, so it is difficult to notice textures, but there is something wrong with the frame channels of the windows... theyr r reflecting alot of green towards the center. RevitGary
Where does texture work need some help? and yes the window frames need some refinement. They might be a standard material I forgot to change
Jonathan Sanchez
no i meant to say that since render quality is not high..all the textures are blurry so it is difficult to give you comments on textures... it will be a nice image..keep us updated. RevitGary
"it will be a nice image" This made me chuckle. I have 30 image of this interior. That creates one of my biggest challenges with MR how to get the best quality and shortest render time balance. Currently my render times are about 20 minutes. I will crank them up to 1/16 when I do my finals.
Stephen Thomas
I would say that your lighting and materials are looking very flat at the moment. A lot of your objects just look like bitmaps without any of the subtleties of surface texture and reflection. Are you using internal lighting as well as the exterior daylight? If so I think the balance is not quite right and that is also making your scene lack depth. Also the composition of this particular image is very awkward. Sorry I don't have more positive things to say.

Its what i meant by "it will be a nice image".
RevitGary
I understood what you meant, And thank you. My chuckle was at the quantity, meaning it will not be an image it will be 30 images. Just my own personal work flow problem I will crank up the resolution on the finals. Dave Oliver
yeah there is definitely something strange going on with the light sources. i'd be interested to see what it looks like right out of your rendering program with just one (exterior) light source. then i would have a better idea of how your GI is working...
