Dave Buckley Posted December 4, 2009 Share Posted December 4, 2009 they go into which ever library you had open last if you accidentally save them to the arch and desgin library you will probably find that you have lost you a&d templates. to stop this happening find the a&d templates folder and make it read-only by right clicking and choosing properties. to create your own library, then i suggest create 2 copies of one of your existing libraries, rename one of the .mat files to philsmaterials.mat then inside max open up philsmaterials.mat delete all the materials that are already in there from when you duplicate an existing library save the blank folder with no materials in it. you should then have a blank material library folder called philsmaterials.mat now everytime you create your own material make sure you open that library first. bit of a bitch hey, but you'l soon find that its the only library you work out of Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
