precalculate lighting weird artifact

hie guys. this is the 1st time i get such issue. lets get direct to the point.

my scene has 305 frames.

i use IR and brute force for my GI light bounces.

precalc IR using "incremental add to current map" each 10 frames.

but after i rendered it out, the image seems to hav some problems.

there are 2 images here i attached with. both of them are the last frame of the scene.

the one without weird artifact is directly render by using "single frame" mode in IR without go through precalculate.

while the one has problem with weird artifact is rendered by precalculate using "incremental add to current map" method each 10 frames. other than those weird artifact, the overall are brighter too. and also the part where i circle up on left side seems to hav some strong light bounce there which is very unnatural.

does anyone knows why is this happen? i've been doing precalc and rendering animation for 2years+, never encounter such problems.

**note that there is absolutely no flicker in my final render. it just the weird artifact.

the only reason i can think of is most probably my vraysun? im not sure.

my vraysun was on noon position from frame -15 til frame 220 (still, nvr move). from frame 220, the vraysun start move to evening position at frame 275. that is the only moving object in the whole scene, and i wonder if this will create such weird artifact?

hope to get some solution here.

thanks in advance.

Im not sure, but the theory you suggest should be easy to test. If the sun moves from frame 220 to frame 275 then it has max 6 reference frames (@ every 10) to interpolate into a smooth lighting solution. I would suggest recalculating the lighting every 5 frames and see if its any better.

the only reason confused me if this issue cause by vraysun or not is that before the vraysun start moving (frame -15 - frame 220), my camera already can see the weird artifact on the right side. nevertheless i will try what you suggested. i'll get back recalculate the light every 5 frames see how it goes.

thanks for the suggestion. ;)

i've already tried render each 5 frames... unfortunately the result appear to be the same. it still having weird artifact over the right side of the building and those spots that suppose to be under shadow appears to hav some strong light bounce like shown on the left side of the one i post in 1st post.

apparently the issue really got something to do with the moving vraysun. coz later that, i test again with the vraysun not moving, and it rendered perfectly with no weird artifact and no strong weird light bounce under the shadows.

does anyone knows how to render correctly for an animation sequence with the vraysun moving without hav any weird artifact or unknown strong light bounce??? i need it to make it from afternoon become evening scene. :(

hie guys... i seriously need some help here.

after i did some research, it seems that im suppose to use animation (prepass) and animation (rendering) for my case that having vraysun moving around.

so i used this method for my scene.

things seems to be good... no flicker, no weird artifact, no weird light bounce behind the shadow.

but another problem appears. it appears from frame 158 til frame 162 that there are 1 weird bright spot slowly appears and slowly disperse away. i've no idea where and how it came into my scene on frame 158-162. at the that frame period, nothing is moving, not even vraysun. the only thing move is only camera.

the rest of the frames seems to be perfectly like what i want though.

i'll attach frame 160 image here where is this the frame that white spot appears to be most obvious and brightest.

let me know if i need to post frame 158-162 for better visual regarding my problems.
