Tommy L
Im rendering frames for an animation. I have the beauty pass, z-depth and velocity pass rendering out of Vray. Im using AE cs4 to composite the animation. I assumed there would be native support for a velocity pass in AE. Am I wrong? Do I need to buy ReelSmart Motion blur plugin? Is there another way? I want post-production control of the blur and I also dont want the render time hit of doing the mb in the render engine. Thanks in advance, Tom. strayrender
Not sure how to do it AE but in Combustion you can use G-Buffer builder, very straight forward. You can then apply DOF and motion blur to the G-Buffer. It' s great having complete control in post, a real time saver.

John Dollus
you do need to get the AFX plugin - it's awesome btw and worth every penny Edited December 4, 2009 by John Dollus
alias_marks
looking into buying rsmb as well, as I was hoping I could do this natively in AE too... Anyone know the difference between regular and pro? It's not really apparent on their site. I'm guessing the pro comes with ability to script/customize or something? http://www.revisionfx.com/products/rsmb/pricing/#ae_compatible_2 edit: scratch that... found it here... - http://www.revisionfx.com/products/rsmb/features/#ae_compatible_2 doh... time for afternoon beer.
