hello to all i am currently rendering my final project using vray.

in the last moment the professor wants people to be in the rendering and she would like for the people to look like if there are in motion.

i am looking for a way to add people to my scene.....i have rendering images and dont mind adding it in post work using photo-shop but also i have a few more images to render and wouldn't mind to put them in and use the rendering engine to add the effect.

i was wondering is i add people to a scene can i render the people (the objects)to a separate images sorta like Cebas PSD manager (but this plugin does not work with vray fully.

if i am able to render selected object to a separate image which i can over lay on top of my image i wouldn't mind

or

can i add the people in the model and add a motion blur to them so it would look like the professionals rendering images with people moving.

this is one of my images that i would like to add people to please feel free to suggest different way to add people

thank you in advance for any suggestions.

first off, i'd slightly amend your composition and camera heights.

scene 1 - i'd higher the camera position, but it doesn't need people still or blurred.

scene 2 - ideal for a few people. not too many mind you, just a couple in natural groups. again, make the camera higher. head height is always a good idea.

scene 3 - good for dancing person(s), but pull the camera around a bit. the scene is currently too artificially staged in composition.

as for peeps in general, be careful. using software motion blur might look good on a walking or running person, but not on a still of low movement person. also, rending blur straight into the render will only make it blur in the general direction the mesh (or plain) is moving, which means for instance the camera wont render individual hand motions, leg/arm movements etc etc.

and remember, motion blur in the rendering process can be very slow.

ideally speaking i'd comp all peeps in post. peeps need special attention as not to stand out. you need to photograph people ideally in the same lighting conditions and camera positions as are in your scene. this makes is much more easier to marry them up to your rendered image.

you must keep in mind the lighting conditions and colours, light origin, shadows, AO food shadows, reflections etc etc. and as mentioned, go easy. dont over do. images like these can be over-killed with needlessly adding people. and when peeps are added and your're happy, go even easier on the motion blur. use it very sparingly. and dont feel obliged to use it either.

thank you for the reply

i understand what you have said about the people. if it was up to me i would just correct my cameras and call it a project lol, but my prof would like to see human figure .......... i normally draw them in in auto cad elevation views. one of my prof suggested Archivi... rpc but i have no knowledge of that program nor i have axes to it (specially now the project is due in 1 more week)

this is what i have in such short notice.

i have use silhouette of people (not mush susses but this is what i can come up in short notice)

also i have seen rendering with silhouette in them to simulate people would this method be post work? (i am taking a gues and would say post work)

and again thank you for your comment

this is my attempt to incorporate people (not happy but...........)
