Tee Adeniyi
I used Deterministic Monte Carlo for the First and Second Bounce. As you can see there is a bit of grain on the concrete and it doesn't really have that sharpness. How do you achieve this in Vray? This is what I mean by crisp
WAcky
DMC or "Brute force" will result in generally grainier images. Try perhaps try an Irradiance/Light Cache setup with a catmul-rom filter or try adding a sharpen filter in a program like photoshop.
Bruce Hart
Perhaps one thing that will help you for a start is changing your sun to shine from front side, instead from behind the building as you have. Never put the camera directly behind the viewer as this negates the shadows to give depth. You will note that the example of "crisp" has the sun from one side, leaving one side in shade (ie contrast). Hope this helps
Tee Adeniyi
Is the catmul filter built into Vray...or do you have to download it or something? and concerning the Sun...I am just using mostly the default settings? Do you change it by adding a light source?
WAcky
catmul rom is a filter style built into vray. The vraysun is physically correct when its using default settings so providing you're going to use the vraysun and sky combination, you shouldn't need any more lights for an exterior shot unless you're wanting to illuminate the building's interior. http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150SP1/
alless
Also try reducing Noise Threshold in Vray DMC Sampler and Increasing Min samples in that Tab ... DMC sampler option plays important rule in Noise ...
Nic H
put your DMC noise threshold on 0.001 and 1/100 that will clean it right up.
