Sketchrender
I am playing around with Revit. I want to do a drawing of porch we want to do on the house. I can model in max and render it no problem, it's getting drawings together is the hard part. I want to do a timber stud wall with timber clad on the outside , plaster board on the inside. Torch on roof, as it is the cheapest option. I can not get the timber stud set out to show . Any advise please. Phil
Tommy Burns
Hi Phil I just finished the beginners course in this last week and am doing the advanced part now. I haven't seen this done as yet. I think what you have to do is place them in manually like a detail. It's the same for floor joists. I'm sure you could make something up with parametric families but as of yet I haven't come to that. But I'll let you know when I do. Tommy
Sketchrender
Tommy Thanks, I am convinced it is possible to do it, some how. I hope the course is going ok, and something will come out of it. We are at last getting it in the office. Not me unfortunately but i will have some input into it. Take care Phil
Reviteer
Philip, There is a plugin (I think it's Accuframe) that deals with stud walls. Otherwise I'd work around wall structure to show the different layers (remember View Detail has to be set to Medium or Fine) and use repeating detail to add the elements in the section or plan. Kind regards, William.
