Deetee
hie guys... im just curious usually what type of unit scale setup is been commonly used by CGA members??? i personally using meters. most of the time it does a good job for me... but sometimes i find it hard to deal with some stuff like cloth modifer and some plugins as they tend to be in cm by default. so just some straight questions here... what unit scale setup you use for your project? do you encounter any problems when animating? how you solve it? amer abidi
I use cm by default, unless the project is of a larger scale (as in more than 1 building), then i switch to metres.

amer abidi
I find it to be the best to use, especially if you're using Mental Ray and A&D Materials.

ihabkal
feet and inches all the way. Being Lebanese we were raised metric, but after spending five years in the US using feet and inches I found them far easier and they make much more sense. After I returned to Lebanon I had to do some jobs for the local market in the metric system, but I always go back to feet and inches when I can.
