Cursor keys to move in, out, left right.

Merry Christmas all,

 

I have a query. I'm working on a short animation, and the client needs to control part of it by utilising the cursor keys. Anybody any ideas? I'm thinking about maxscript.

 

Your help as usual would be much appreciated.

if you're giving him the max file to play with then all you need to do is show them the walkthrough tool.

 

If you're looking to let them control the navigation of a full rendered model, you'll need to look into a gaming engine type setup. You might want to check out the forum here for realtime/vr/interactive-vrml content ideas

Maxscript is something internal to the production of scenes with max, it wouldn't help you with a rendered product. (in this case at least...yes I know you can do video post stuff with maxscript but that's not what this question is about)

A freind of mine who works in the games industry reccomends ofusion. Anyone any experience of this?

nope but I can recommend Unity if you're on a budget. (its free) I've been playing around with it a little lately.
