ivanjay
For many materials we create for our interior scenes we could use Pro Materials or A & D Materials. We typically use pro materials as they are very simple and do give us pretty good results. They do seem a lot more limited in options though (which is not always a bad thing to me a an intermediate user) Is there any comparison on when one is better than the other? Which do you recommend? amer abidi
Like you said, ProMaterials are infact A&D Materials with presets for beginners and people looking for fast material setup. They give good results, but are limited and can only go so far in customizing. Customize yourself with the settings, and it helps if you read the max MR Arch & Design shaders help file as it is quite helpful in explaining all the variables; As you get the hang of MR, you will find yourself slowly shifting to A&D Materials and use less and less Pro Materials.
