nelpiper
Hi guys. I'm starting to play with vue 8 xstream and I ran into this problem. I created a standard MAX plane and then I wanted to put just a simple vue tree. So, when I do that a "ground plane" and a Direct light are created by default by VUE. Then I place the tree object over the MAX plane and render and is ok. I then create a Daylight system and go to the VUE options and activate the option to render with Mental Ray. Whe I do that, the part of the tree that is on the MAX plane renders white and the part that is over the VUE "ground plane" renders ok. I've got 2 images attached. Does anyone know if I have to do something else? Isn't that the whole point of xstream, to be able to paint on MAX geometry? Thanks.

Guest aakhdar
I don't know if it can help you but it seems this method works for me: Go to environnement and effects in max (8 key) and then in Exposure Control, check Process background and Environnement Maps It makes the white render disappear but i still have some minor artifacts.
