IES lights not working in maxwell2?

in naxwell 2 there is support for IES lights, i belieeve its the first time for ies lights being used in maxwell.

 

I have downloaded light definitions form erco, however, how far i increase the ISO, the ies light do not light anything. I see the preview of the ies file is big ( i mean the red dots in mya preview) enough for the scene, the light covers my scene, but no light in the scene..... Also its like the render times multiplees by many levels up when using ies lights.

 

I have a scene, i want to lit the scene with good lighting. what should i do?
