guiltybydesign
thats one of my first renders using mr sky portal, I find it pretty useful Its mostly a lighting study, I havent paid almost any attention to materials c&c?
imanovice
Wow it is so neat and nice.I like your carpet it is fine and smooth. How did you make it?
guiltybydesign
well the carpet is exactly what i didnt like in the scene so I had to darken it in photoshop anyway its made with Hair&Fur modifier.
Jonathan Sanchez
Real nice rendering... u r right about the carpet.. something wrong with it.. seems to have bald spots and some of the refletions on the reclining chair in the back need some anti aliasing. great job with the concrete texture on the wall tho. nelpiper
I think the lighting is good but the image overall looks a little bit flat. You can see that on the walls. Maybe a little more bump. The material on the couch looks good but the carpet looks a little weird. Carpets are a pain in the neck to get right. One thing that you are in very much need is a AO pass. Look at the vases and the loudspeaker on the floor; Do you see that they appear to be floating. That's lack of contact shadows. A AO pass will fix that. You're definitely having youreself a nice image. Keep up. Good luck.
guiltybydesign
thanx I agree about the connecting shadows, I noticed that in the rendered image..there should be more shadows everywhere, not just there, maybe more sharpness of the mrsun shadows, or/and the mentioned AO pass. Snareth
Lovin the shader on the seat at the front of the shot, lookin awesome! very cool man. keep it up and your going to have yourself a really nice render:D
braddewald
The second rendering: The carpet is very fake looking. The image on the TV screen takes your eye directly there. I found myself studying it before letting my eye wander. I suggest an image of a nature scene as would be on the discovery channel or something. The goal is to show how the tv is interacting with the space not showcase the tv. Overall great render.
