Crazy Homeless Guy
You must have the design version of Max, nVidia's package is not designed to see it. It is a flaw. Just place the performance dll into the root directory of Max, and it will load without any problems.

Crazy Homeless Guy
I'll have to check tomorrow at work. I think might have went ahead, and installed it somewhere, and then copied the dll. Not 100% sure. There is a thread on the Area about it.
Scott Dombrowski
If you have a program like 7-Zip (free download), you can extract the contents of the .exe file to a folder on your hard drive. Then, just copy the appropriate 3dsmaxpd.drv file (there's a 32bit one and a 64bit one) to your 3ds Max Design 2010 folder. You'll have to choose the driver in Customize/Preferences/Viewports/Choose Driver...
RevitGary
Thanks I got it lets see how it works! Why does everything have to be so difficult? Anyone else notice improvements with it?
Crazy Homeless Guy
Well, ....it fixed my view port issues when connecting to remote machines with the VNC viewer. So I guess that qualifies as a performance increase.
