braddewald
I am working on a scene with a bright orange wood floor and it is bleeding color onto every surface in the room for some reason. I am fine with it as it kind of warms the room up but it is just ridiculous on the ceiling... I even thought for a while that I had placed the material on the ceiling by accident. I tried using a vrayoverride material and putting a matte white material in the GI slot. This just eliminates any GI and makes the floor look fake, like it was PS'd in. I tried using a vraymaterial wrapper on the ceiling material and setting it to not receive GI but it just renders out black. Is there any way to only exclude the ceiling from receiving GI? erickdt
I think you can by right clicking on the cieling object => VRay Properties and checking exclude from GI (or something like that). I however would simply right click on the floor object => VRay Properties and turn down its generate GI value. I do this often when I have a bright colored floor that is color bleeding excessively.
