chow choppe
Hi everyone i am working oan animation which is around 7 minutes long I have worked in after effects and the client wants the out put in VCD format? I had used the size to be 720 X 576 format whats the best way to out put this and in what format? so that i am able to deliver him the perfect quality. Also will i be able to accomodate a 7 minute animation in vcd? or i would need to make a DVD out of it. please help me with this on how to output this video for best results thanks
ihabkal
vcd is half the dvd resolution so maybe 360 wide only. it is also much less quality than the now defunct VHS format. Just save it as a mpeg2 in adobe and put it on a dvd not cd, a DVD, as drives read DVD discs faster and this will prevent stutter. if you do a straight copy set top dvds won't read it it will only work with a computer. you can use a software like adobe encore to make a proper dvd and it will play anywhere. chow choppe
thanks mate. the problem is that the architect told the client that the out put will be a vcd format and so the blank CD's are ready with labels pasted on them so we have to make our video according to a cd size only. I was reading that svcdd is a better format . so we are looking at a svcd output i have rendered my movie in mpeg2 format which has extension of.mpg from after effects. Now i am stuck that what to do with this. should i just use nero to make a vcd out of this? How will be the quality? thanks
ihabkal
why don't you try nero and see how it will look like and how smooth the playback will be? worst case scenario you will have ruined one disc only.
