Stephen Thomas
Merry Christmas everyone! Might be a quiet one this week depending on whether people are logging in over the festive break. Hopefully there will be a load of new faces posting here depending on how good you've all been My first go at shooting film this week, courtesy of my ebay bargain Olympus OM10 and my new film scanner. (I was a good boy this year) First one from a night-time wander around Glasgow and the second is the view from my office to the snowy hills beyond. AJLynn
Merry Christmas! Welcome to the world of film scanning That Superia 1600 is good stuff. You can abuse its exposure latitude to great effect. Don't the old manual cameras feel good? I've been all over the place in the last couple weeks so I'm going to post a few things. I got a Lensbaby for Nikon for Christmas, and the first bunch are using that on my D90. (Normally you wouldn't use one of those for architecture, but I say, what the heck.) Now I'm in Miami with some film that hasn't been developed and my old SD500 so here's a flock of seagulls cleaning up after the crowd has left, captured with the obsolete point&shoot that could. Dave Buchhofer
this holiday week has been pretty much all people all the time. Can't wait though, got a lead on a nice cheap local sigma 10-20! this should be fun.
neil poppleton
Forgive me it's my son who is a Manchester United fan. From the stadium tour yesterday. I used my pocket camera and autostitch software to blend together, which is the best freebie software I have downloaded in a long tme. I selected six shots randomly and in 2 minutes it produces the shot attached.....
Stephen Thomas
Yeah, I'm in love with the old-school manual camera already Just the simple act of winding the film on feels really good! I really like your lensbaby shots Andy, particularly #4. Is it one of the new ones? Which version did you get? Also wanted to post a link to this site I just stumbled across, fantastic b+w street photography all done with the iphone. http://justwhatisee.com/
