Asgeijr
Hi! I've just started working with vray and im attempting to do an interior light scene "A". (Im using Rhino not 3Ds btw) I just can't figure out how to get the windows lighted as in "B". Im using rectangular lights outside the windows, a pointlight in the middle of the room for further light, and a vray sun outside. Any suggestions =)? Ricardo Eloy
You need an environment light. Don't know how it works in Rhino, but I'm guessing you could place a skylight outside.
aristocratic3d
May be you can use a self illuminated material in the certain object or curtain.
aaronrumple
You have a direct light source. You need to add a Vray sky. If you use the Vray sun, it will prompt you to add the sky at the same time and do it automatically.
Asgeijr
Thank you for the suggestions =) I'm using the vray sun with sky, but the effect im looking for is like the windows in picture B. If I use a emissive material layer on the windows I think it blocks the rays of sunlight and I won't get the effect of the illuminated window on the floor. It seems like a simple task since I haven't yet come across it in any tutorial. Any suggestions in what to do, or where to find a good tutorial on lighting interior or exterior is more than welcome =)

eds101
As aaron said put a vray sun in and add the default sky as a starting point, you can then try and add a vray light (plane) right behind glass

Also check your glass settings. Is it transparent enough? Do you have affect shadows checked?
