sedus69
Hi, I need to Unwrap this model, so I can Paint it under photoshop. The Client is asking for some Mondrian Square. But I don't know how to Export the mesh to photoshop. I tried a planar Uwmap, but Edges are deformed. Any suggestion ? 3dsMax 2008. Here is the file If anyone want to play with. nelpiper
If all you want is taking this to PS, once you got the model unwrapped, go to tools menu and choose render WVW template. Save it as a .jpg or whatever u want, and u can take it to PS. Hope it helps.
Peter M. Gruhn
My first thought was "perfect for spline mapping". But I don't think you have that option in that version of max. OK, so can I hack it? Sort of. - What I did was select the top edges of the wall. - Convert to spline (linear). - Edit that spline. The inside and outside were connected so I delete that segment then weld all the verts. - Generate Mapping Coords and for my purposes Real-World Map Size - Extrude - Edit Poly - Make new model look like old model. - Apply texture.
