BAUM
Im a mechanical designer by trade, but i LOVE the look of doing interrior renderings. Where is a good source for textures and bumps? like wood flooring, wood in general. stone like granite. I have access to 3dsmax 9. My modeling program of choice is solidworks. i can export an iges and bring it into 3ds. Enclosed is my mecanical renderings i have done.
anejo
i have gotten my stone texture from doschdesign.com they also have basic wood textures. unfortunately if you're looking for exotic hardwood like Tineo, padauk, sapele and others, i haven't found these types available online. exotic hardwoods are what i generally use with most of my clients, so i've been trying to make my own but with little success. hockley91
I always make my own textures or modify ones I find on the internet. BTW, that is a very detailed model. Lot's of little details in it. Looks great!
BAUM
Thanks for the compliment. To me this is nothing compared to what i see on here. Do most just download the objects in a room? or do they create them theirselves?
anejo
Thanks for the compliment. To me this is nothing compared to what i see on here. Do most just download the objects in a room? or do they create them theirselves? I've download hundreds of objects now, although most were purchased. At this point i do very little modeling. Usually i can find what i need in my library for just about any type of scene. Hopefully it will someday pay for itself. You did a great job with your modeling, i look forward to seeing more of your work.
BAUM
Well here is another one of mine. Currently i do more product renders and not room. Room is where i want to try and get my feet wet. The modeling is no problem for me. its the rendering. This is modeled with solidworks, and rendered with photoview 360 (a stripped down version of modo that comes with solidworks)
