Sebree
I have a plan with some extruded shapes. How can I get the lines to render in Autocad ?
STRAT
type in SHADE for a quick render, or type in RENDER to take you to the render screen options.
Sebree
this doesn't allow you to render lines. I can't see any type of options to allow you to render lines like in viz (renderable splines)
quizzy
just print/plot with the hidden line option.. type: HIDE for a viewport you have to check hide lines option in the properties of the viewport..
nuno
or you can do a dxb file with plot, and then import it to acad in lines... hope it helps nuno ps: try the CREATEHLR command (it works in most of acad versions)but i think it is not a documented command. Wojciech Klepacki
You can achieve better results when you set some autocad variables. At the command prompt type at first: DISPSILH and put value 1 - it hides annoying lines from faces than: FACETRES and press 4 or 6 (but not more than 10) - it gives you accuracy of shapes especially arcs, circles, etc. at complex models it can takes time to hide model so be careful with this value. Certainly you can than hide/plot it or just simply hide at the command prompt. Obviously this procedures work only wilth solids. Best regards. Kerry Thompson
Hi Thanks for the dispsilh and createhlr tips. I have used sofprof command to create hiden line flat images like http://www.kta.co.nz/cga/reception_counter.jpg This image was created with the hidden lines in one block, on a hidden line layer and the forground block using continuous lines. Look in the AutoCAD help for more info on sofprof. Regards Kerry Thompson
