Can Everyone Test the CGA Gallery Submission

Hi all,

 

I recently made some code changes to the way images are submitted to our gallery. However since the change the number of submissions has dropped significantly, which leads me to believe that there could be intermittant issues that people are not reporting.

 

Could I get you guys to submit an image to the gallery and let me know if there are any issues. If you just test and do not really want the image to be posted, just put "DO NOT PUBLISH" in the image title and I will delete it on the backend.

worked fine over here, with the exception that I had to resize my image to 1000+ pixels to make it work.

 

If you ask me, kind of an un-necessary narrow file range requirement to have an image over 1000 px wide but still under 1 mb. Anyway, hope all goes smoothly, and the submission keep rollin in.

oops just notice the "do not publish" I didn't do that but either way I'm fine if the image is posted or not...

Jeff, I tried to upload an image and got the following error:

 

(8) Image/Movie dimension 640x480 is too small, minimum dimension is 1000x0.

 

The image is a jpg, 640x480, 47.8kb.

Thanks. Yes, the new minimum size at least 1000 wide. I will be launching a new feature (in the interim as the new site is developed) that will allow people to click on images to see a much larger version. Can you try uploading an image that meets the new criteria?

I just uploaded a rendering and everything went smooth. But, I notice that your guidelines on the first page ask for 800x600 instead of 1,000.

 

Guidelines for image submission:

 

1. The uploaded image size should be no larger than 800 x 600 pixels.

Thanks Eddie. I corrected that error. I think it must just have been a slow period. I received a normal number of submissions again the last few days.

Hi jeff, i can´t create a new thread, i pick a file from the navigate option. I also have uploaded the images in "my" gallery and also attached two images there, but when i click in the submittion button i get an erro saying that there was no uploaded file. I tried in 2 different muchines with the same result, what i´m doing wrong ?? Thanks for any help.

Can you provide me a step by step instructions of what you are doing? Obviously we receive hundreds of submissions since the change, so I know the system is working, so I want to be sure you're actually attaching an image to upload.
