Alvaro Ram.
The problem is that every time i lunch a test render or a region, i have to make sure to turn off ando on all the vray spawners en every node i use. I have 3 nodes and the WStation. This only happens in max 2009 and vray 1.50sp2. If i render without doing this, the node buckets render the previuos image, the previous texture or the previous light calculations. Does someone know about this? Thanks a lot Al. Crazy Homeless Guy
I am not sure at what iteration it was introduced, but the latest version has an option to automatically restart Spawner after a rendering has completed. I have not tested it, nor had to use it, but it sounds like it should take care of your problem. Alternately, if you are using 3dsMax, there is an option to run a script after a rendering completes. You could write a script that shuts down Spawner, and relaunches it, and then have that run after the image completes. Thanks for the reply, ireally do not know how to write a script, but it should restar every spawner in the 3 pc farm.. doesn't it? Is that possible? I cant find the option in vray to restar the spawner after every render cheers Alv.
ihabkal
I used to have the same problem but it went away after an upgrade of Vray was installed.
Alvaro Ram.
I used to have the same problem but it went away after an upgrade of Vray was installed. I'm using 1.50 sp2.... and there is no "restart slaves spawner at render end", in the DISTRIBUTED RENDER SETTINGS... may be i should try sp3 or the last version, waht i don't know which is. Thanks
Thablanch
There this very nice script by Dave Buchhofer: http://buchhofer.com/?p=196 Can restart the slaves on render end ( and other features).. had good and bad experiences with it, but worth giving it a try.
