Eric
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to put a date and time and a filename stamp on my plots? I'd like to use a *DATE* tag or something that shows up automatically when I plot, if there is such a thing in AutoCAD. I know Microstation can do it, but can AutoCAD? Thanks, Eric
Wojciech Klepacki
Yes it is possible. You can follow this steps in AutoCAD: 1) choose plot, then plot device tab 2) put mark in plot stamp on 3) then choose settings, load: mm.pps 4) choose as many fields as you like, press ok Thats all. It works. Best regards.
Kerry Thompson
Hi Eric Expanding on what Wojciech has said, you can plotstamp in AutoCAD 2000i and AutoCAD 2002 as he describes but this feature is not available in AutoCAD 2000 and below. The feature defaults are stored in a .pss file and there is quite a lot of flexibility in the settings and position of the various fields. The feature can be accessed with the command line: plotstamp - there is also quite a lot of help on available in the AutoCAD help I generally do not use this feature having set-up an automatic plot date attribute routine in my title sheets which updates each time I plot - this was setup for Release 12 and still works in AutoCAD 2002. Hope this helps Regards Kerry Thompson
