Umlungu
Hey im new here, so i'd just like to say a few things about myself. Im straight out of the bushes in South Africa, my transport is an elephant, its not fast, but it is transport. it also helps to chase away those pesky hyenas from our hut at night. I work on a pentium 1, 100mhz, 24mb ram, 1 gig hd, and use dial-up internet. emailing is so much better than sending letters on our racing pidgins, coz the hawks get them sometimes . lol, im just talking rubbish . Anyway i am new with 3ds max, maybe a couple of months, i use to do everything in AutoCad but i needed a better renderer. so hopefully i can learn a lot from u guys. Umlungu
Whats the visualization industry like in Durban? Its not really big at all, there are a couple of firms that only do 3d's but they mostly use programs like Archicad + Artlantis, its good, but nothing compared to the stuff i've seen out there. The firm that i work at we dont do 3d's we normally send out our drawings for that. All day i do submission drawings, its nice, but i would really like to get into the 3d industry. Jason, how is that soccer stadium coming along? you don't have any contacts on the people who did the soccer stadium down there in Durbs? I've been looking for the 3D model everywhere , even contacted the architects here in the EU with no luck.
