vray scatter

Hello Cg Architects,

 

I want to ask about the vray scatter. In some pages that I visited, looks like it is not ready, but it is available to buy on a website called rendering dot ru . I think it is strange because on a quick google theres a bunch of old news and nothing much like "scatter tutorial" and something like "Im using vray scatter right now".

 

Someone here use it ? Had a try on the demo?

This is a test with 300 000 trees. more than 8 hours to render, but my computer is not an example of render machine and the resolution is a little big too ( at least my display is big enough to use this as a wallpaper).

 

(edit) There is a vray light and a hdr light too.

Better keep going if you want the record, there's a thread on Chaos Groups site, where they've rendered a similar scene to yours....

 

only they're up to 5,000,000,000,000 polygons

Yeah... too bad. I will keep testing the demo version. It is very fun.

 

Someone know if vray scatter have something that distributes the scattered mesh on single faces, like the standard scatter of max? Should be useful for placing a large number of street pole lights...
