YOHKOH
HI I understood that it is possible to have a transparent vray light material which still emits light. THis should be done by placing map in the opacity slot. I tried just placing a black / white colour in there but it wont go transparent. Please help me. Am I missing something please please please. Edit - Solved it, You have to be looking at the back side of the material so emit light on backside is a no go. Stephen Thomas
You can have emit on back side enabled and still have opacity. The important thing is to make sure that areas you want to be transparent must be black in the main light material bitmap as well as the opacity map. You can't make an illuminated part transparent.
