nodar1978
Hello guys i've got 360 camera rendering, and it seems sharp enough and quit good as a image, but when i put it in panorama software then final result is not sharp enough, i have to go in very high resolution rendering to make it good in panorama. I checked settings in panorama software, and i set maximum settings but doesn't help. for example if i want to make panorama for 800x600, should i render 360 camera 4x800 by 4x600? is it really so? then render is too big, 3200x2400 hope guys you have answer for me thanks in advance
BrianKitts
Yes, to really get a good image when you wrap it to a sphere or create a QTVR you must render a pretty decent resolution. Consider that you only see about a 60 degree field of view, so at any time you are only seeing about 1/6 the width of your original image. So if you render your original image @ 3000x1500 pixels and wrap it to a sphere that is viewed in a 800x600 viewer.....you are stretching the width of 500 pixels of data (1/6th of 3000) to fit 800 pixels wide, hence it's not clean. I typically render my QTVR's @ 6000x3000 pixels. 64bit system, and D.R. come in very handy for this.
