Backburner Nodes - Run as Administrator

Is there anyway to get backburner nodes to work properly without it being necessary for the user logged on to be an administrator?

We don't run ours as administrator, and we haven't run into problems.

 

Are you running as a service, or as a client?

We are using Individuals' workstations as render nodes overnight and on the weekends. So we are not running BB as a service. We are prohibited from giving each user Administrative privleges on their workstation. Unfortunately the frames crash anytime a standard "user" is logged on.

Can you launch Max on one of the machines, and render the frame without a crash?

You just need to make sure "user" has permission to write to the Backburner directory (eg. C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\backburner). If it can't, jobs won't be saved.

Our BB render nodes do not have 3dsMax Licenses'. We've entered the serial 000-000000. So we are not able to start max on them.
