Randy liddil
Does anyone know if there is a Limit as to how many "map" folders can be linked in 3ds max? I have a job where I make a lot of chips and there are hundreds of varieties of chips. If I categorize these into hundreds of separate folders...will 3ds max be able to add all of the folders? say i have 300 different folders? BrianKitts
max doesn't have a folder limit. You're more likely to be limited by the amount of RAM needed to load that many maps if they aren't reasonably sized or applied by proxy
JonRashid
Max can cope, but it will warn you around the 250 mark that you are potentially using up a lot of memory. However I have not actually come across a case where it has slowed my performance down
Crazy Homeless Guy
Max can cope, but it will warn you around the 250 mark that you are potentially using up a lot of memory. However I have not actually come across a case where it has slowed my performance down +1. 300 should be easy for today's systems and networks unless there are errors in your path names, then it will take forever.
