design challenge

i would be interested in seeing a 'design' challenge that goes beyond the current routine for the visualization challenges. nothing too extravagent or time intensive (like design competitions that an architect may enter). fairly simple, loose program, but something where this is an outlet for design, design process, and visualization.

 

especially with the focus on posting the WIPs, it could bring about some great dialogue on the process of how people achieve their design and move away from the pursuit of a single final image.

 

one scenario - a lobby design

provide a 3d model for the shell of the lobby (exterior walls, columns, elevators, base materials) and a simple program.

 

i have a few projects where i could strip the design out and just provide the base building. if there is an interest in setting this up, i would be more than happy to assist in providing models, monitoring the challenge (though i would like to participate as well), etc.
