Dave Buckley
i have been adding materials to a library, but have since moved the library and associated maps. now when i load the libs, all of my maps are missing. i'm currently going through, re-assigning all maps by routing to their current location. how do i get around this for future reference if i was to move the libs and associated maps again
WAcky
I'm not sure how to avoid it but this script is priceless for relinking missing assets.
BigBoo
Hi Dave You can use filepathfinder see here scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/filepathfinder-pro-light-versions to WAcky Relink is nice tool, but it supports a limited number of file- types, does not work with displace and VrayScatter. Also, it can not collect textures. I am very pleased with the FPF-pro
WAcky
That may be so but the script I suggested is free despite it's minor shotcomings. I suspect that you're also the member named Track who is the creator of the software you mentioned. I may be wrong, but it's probably a good thing to be upfront and honest about your involvment with said product.
Oleksandr Kramer
Thank BigBoo! That may be so but the script I suggested is free despite it's minor shotcomings. I suspect that you're also the member named Track who is the creator of the software you mentioned. I may be wrong, but it's probably a good thing to be upfront and honest about your involvment with said product. I think your assumption is offensive. Not good idea, Wacky. You are based on the fact that Bigboo also from Odessa? P.S. Relink is not a free utility - it costs $ 5 Edited February 20, 2010 by Track
WAcky
I think your assumption is offensive. Fair enough. I'll take your word for it and retract my comment. Apologies. P.S. Relink is not a free utility - it costs $ 5 no, it doesn't. That's a suggested donation amount. Although it's good to support the script and the creator, it's not enforced and theres no restrictions on the script if you dont pay the $5 Edited February 21, 2010 by WAcky
