A question

Hey guys.

Can somebody with experience in this field explain me what this phrase actually means?

1) Build a MODEL of one room.

2) Add 9 interior blocks to the model.

I'm not exactly sure what this "interior block' means.

English isn't my first language and even after reading about building, interior blocks on google I still can't exactly understand the whole idea.

Appreciate all the help.

that's a bit vague and out of context. it could mean a lot of things. we'd have to see more of the original text before we can give you a definitive answer.

it sounds like the model of the room is 1 block, and you need to add 9 of these to the main model. but who knows.

That's the problem as it's pretty much everything I was asked to price :)

I thought it's some terminology but I guess a email for more info from the provider is a must at this point :)

Thank you.

"Interior block" isn't a clearly defined term but since they're referring to adding them to the model, it likely means already-modeled fixtures or furniture. If you're trying to price the job, you need to learn what the blocks are, whether the client already has them (or they're in the Autocad common library or something) or you'll need to buy them or model them.

it's a very vague brief.

yes you should ask them to explain a bit more of the :

- meaning of interior blocks (this could mean anything, from 9 furnitures to 9 rooms)

- scope / size / design of the 1 room to model, remember 1 room could be a big atrium, or just 1 small bedroom. Price is going to be different.
