Sketchrender
Advise needed I nearly have a website together. Now how do you get traffic flowing to it. Do you add a twitter page to you , a blog what would people suggest. I don't need 3D looking at it , more clients with Money and who want work done, if you know what I mean. phil
abmitalia
As ever - don't use flash, let google see your images, don't give your images names that are not in theme, and last but not least send some real paperstuff to potential clients ... people who have money and want work done don't have time for search machine stuff . best wishes RK
alexg
first, you need to put some keywords in your main page so googlebots can search on them. make sure it's specific, relevant to you, and addresses your target market. try searching the keywords on google first to see if they work well and doesn't produce too many results. put your localities in keys like '3d visualization dublin' does make you stand out in local searches. all you want is to be in the first 2 pages of the search result second, traffic can't be generated in a day, it takes time to build, so you need to be patient. third, lots of traffic doesn't mean they're clients. most of the traffic will mostly be from fellow artists or jobseekers. nothing beats the old phonecall to market. website for our jobs are mainly to showcase our work in case somebody asks for samples. rather than waiting for your sample email, they can be directed to see your portfolio online, which adds a sparkle of 'professionalism' in you. WAcky
There are many different ways to boost traffic. Keywords aren't really even used by google anymore. Although they help, they don't have the influence that people think they do. AFAIK it's more about linkages to and from other high-ranking sites. I believe that if you create a tutorial hosted on your website which is linked to from many popular sites around the net like evermotion and CGA you will generate some big traffic and your rankings will probably shoot up.
