carlotristan3d
Is there a way to cut a section in max similar to functions available in sketchup? I tried a camera with orthographic projection on and viewport clipping across the building. but i can't get a true section, only an orthographic view. Also how do I collapse a group into editable poly? Any tip would be much welcome.
wasteland giant
how I did them in the past (not that I do it often) was select the relevant geometry and applied a singular slice modifier. Not every elegant but yeah. Slice plus remove top or bottom.

Peter M. Gruhn
There's a Soulburn script (my favourite of the lot, actually) to combine a selection into an object.
