Excluding Vray Light from GI calculation

This is an issue ive battled with on numerous occasions and failed. Is it possible to exclude/include a single Vray Light (the rectangular area kind) such that it does not factor into primary bounce GI calculations for certain objects? I'm trying to artistically light certain objects in a scene without the lights bleeding into the rest of the scene. Illustration below.

If there's a way to keep primary bounces from happening onto the object of interest, then it would be solved. Ideas?
