Starting a fantasy baseball league

Spring is here, it's 60 degrees in Boston, birds are chirping and young mens' fancies turn to inaccurately handicapping pitchers based on three innings of Spring Training work.

 

I'd like to start a fantasy baseball league for sports fans on this site. Post here if you'd like to play. It will be standard rules on Yahoo with a live online draft, probably around 9PM Eastern time so it will be after work on the west coast as well. Let me know what days of the week are best for you.

 

Prior experience is not required - all you need is some basic understanding on what the baseball stats are (batting average, runs scored, RBI's, home runs and stolen bases for hitters; ERA, strikeouts, wins, save and WHIP - which stands for walks plus hits per inning pitched - for pitchers) and a willingness to pay a bit of attention to baseball players and make some roster edits once or twice a week. Experienced players, don't be too serious about it - I don;t want to see anybody writing computers programs to analyze player values or any of that.

 

Depending on how many people want to play, it will be all-MLB or AL only.

 

No money will be wagered, instead the lowest ranked players will be asked to send prints of photographs, renders or other creative works to the highest ranked players, and the winners will receive bragging rights.
