mondex
Hello I'm wondering where is the specular map area called in the maps of my vray material... I'd like to make a material where reflexions are only in some areas - like for a wood floor - where light doesn't bounce/reflect from some areas. Many thanks in advance for your help! Crazy Homeless Guy
Just make a custom reflection map, and set the glossiness lower than 1. The specular reflections will only appear in the white areas of the custom reflection map.
aristocratic3d
Also I have been unable to add specular reflection in this chair model (wooden material). Is that the only solution to create a specularity on wood material? mondex
Thanks Travis, I will try that. Have a nice week-end
Crazy Homeless Guy
Thanks Travis, I will try that. Have a nice week-end I find it easier to use the map in the reflection slot, and not the glossiness slot. The glossiness slot is another animal.
