Dave Buckley
i think this is a pretty basic thing but i've not done all that much animation and memory is a bit vague, plus i'm ill and brain functionality is lower than that of the average day anyway i have an animation that is Xminutes long. there are a few keyframes and i want to reduce the length of the animaton but at the same time re-scale all of the keyframes so that their relationship with the animation length remains relative to how it is now, rather than me draggin keyframes around. is this possible
Stephen Thomas
If you click on the Time Configuration button (it has a clock symbol) next to the current frame number box you can set a new length for the animation then click 'Re-scale Time'. It should do exactly what you're looking for.
Dave Buckley
well i never, i thought it literally re-scaled the timeline to display your new animation length, didn't think it did the keys too but never tried to be honest, nice one stef
Stephen Thomas
No probs If you don't hit the 'Re-scale Time' button then it just adds or subtracts from your animation length and leaves the keyframes alone. Using 'Re-scale Time' stretches the keyframes accordingly.
