Intel just lanched 5600 Xeons (Westmere)

For all of you that are researching to buy a new machine, Intel just announced the new Xeon 5600 line of processors, including 6 core variants.

IMHO these are a much better buy than the i7 980X from a price/performance perspective. For the "money is no object" crowd you can buy a pair of X5680, with 12 cores/24 threads at 3.33 GHz it will probably shatter quite a few rendering records.
