Chad Warner
Here's some really cool 360 panoramic video: http://www.immersivemedia.com/demos/index.php So the obvious question is, how to recreate it with max? It would be easy (enough) to render 360 degree views along a predefined path, but then how would you compile it? There used to be a plugin called smooth move back in the day that would do exactly this, but it was kind of cumbersome, and I don't think they are around anymore. Any ideas? TSuess
I'm really looking forward to see how this might be implemented in the future by the entertainment industry. I can't imagine what a director like James Cameron could do. The viewer would wear a head-mounted display. Full HD resolution in stereo. Imagine sitting within your favorite scene in any movie. Very cool technology. I'm sure we'll see it done in the next 5 years or so.
