computrina
Hello, it's me again. I keep reading stuff about Vray for MAx 2010 being slower than the one for 2009. I have Vray 1.5 Sp 3 and it works fine for very simple scenes, but as soon as I get some detail in them it gets to 1 or more days. I can't even guess how much it would take for a finished project to render. Anyway. I was wondering - Should I start with Max 2010 and Vray 1.5 Sp3 or should I go for Max 2009 an earlier version of Vray? Many thanks for your input. Grohu
SP4a runs same on 2009 and 2010. Absolutely no difference in render times. There were issues but Max SP1 fixed it.
montecarlomethod
The fastest is max 2010 Sp1 with vray 1.50 SP4a and RT SP1. If you have an autodesk subscription it shouldn't be a big deal going to max 2010 or 2011(avoid this) or getting the free upgrade to vray SP4a.
