erickdt
Hello All, I was wondering if anyone had an opinion about what was the best 3D format exported from Inventor to be imported into AutoCAD. I have had alot of luck in the past with SAT files as well as IGES which I believe can both be exported from Inventor. It would also be great if Inventor could export a native DWG file in 3D too. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. E
Cad64
The only way I know is to export a .sat from Inventor and then Import into Autocad using the ACISIN command, or through the Import dialog. Autocad cannot import the iges format. I believe there used to be an IGESIN/IGESOUT utility, but Autodesk removed it from the program a long time ago.
