Unhandled exception plus region render

Hi. I got this error message (see image).

 

This was after batch rendering across our render farm two previous images.

 

Halfway through the third the error ocurred. This isn't the first time this has happened but on a different project.

 

I'm guessing its a ram issue but I have 8 gig in all machines and the other images rendered fine.

 

Also, as I only managed to render half the image using triangulated method, I cant region render the rest!!! Does anyone know of a script to enable a region render as a trianle.

I get this sometimes, I don't really know what causes it but closing Max and restarting seems to fix it.
