yahia mito Posted March 30, 2010 Share Posted March 30, 2010 (edited) Hey all ..... a new user of FryRender is here a week ago i was rendering with VRAY but it toke houres 2 render a simple scene so i serched 4 a render engine same as vray but has more speed in prosessing so i found FryRender but Since i'm kinda new 2 this renderer.... + i didn't found any tutorial for this magnificent Renderer my request is a simple tutorial 4 using FryRender ps .. i'm using Sketchup 4 modeling .. I get a weekly notification of posts to this forum, so this is the first I've looked at your post. I'm not sure where you got the idea that fryrender is faster than Vray. yahia mito Posted April 4, 2010 Author Share Posted April 4, 2010 thanks Fran 4 ur kind words yesterday i tried 2 test render 4 an old scene that was modeled in sketchup it toke me 5 hours & still rendering without addin' any materials or cameras but frycam da render was by da default settings in fryrender i don't know what was wrong !! Fran Posted April 5, 2010 Share Posted April 5, 2010 Think of an unbiased renderer this way - all light is a caustic. Have you ever enabled Reflective caustics in the Vray GI parameters? Things render much, much slower and that is why it is disabled by default. Don't expect any unbiased engine (with the exception of Arion) to be fast.
