Potential Project

I have been debating if i wanted to post it because of the circumstance but I finally figured what the heck. I was involved in the planning of a rather large project near where I currently live. I have a pretty good contact and family friend for the landowner of the property where a major mixed use development is going to go. I had generated some concept designs some time ago and they have been slowly inching along in trying to get some approvals. I just heard through my contact that they are going to have a public presentation in a little less than one month. I have been toying with the idea of creating a 3d construction of one of the project portions and then show it to them to convince them it would be in their best interest to pay to have significant renderings done for the entire project, maybe even a walk through. With the fact of me just having a baby and working my architectural job full time, I would barely have enough time to take this on complete even this one portion. If someone is interested in working together and doing another portion of the project and then possibly getting engaged to share in the task of completing the renderings for the entire project (we would have to sell that which is why I would want to do this), send me a PM and we can talk more about it. am not totally sure I am going to do this yet as my plate is pretty full this month but I am being told by some people who know the project I should do it if I can find the time. they think the owners would bite on this.

 

I am tired of doing work to bring in projects but it has led to some decent paying projects as of late which has lessened the amoutn of promotional work I have had to do. The nice thing about this one is this would be potentially a very large project with some interesting things to render. It would have a good bit of exposure and for someone like me just getting into this whole 3D rendering thing using max it would be a great project to really get things going. I am not going to tell my contact what I am doing as I will surprise him and the owner group with some shots of what has been completed. Also, if something were to come up that would not allow it to get done, no harm done but at least I have another cool and unique project to add to the portfolio. If anyone else would choose to do something, they would maintain full credit for their work and none of it would be given away or allowed to be released unless the owners wouldto pay for the renderings. The idea would be to get them fired up to take on the much larger scale 3D project. There is a good chance that archtectural work would come out of this as well but that is a whole other element. Anyway, if anyone is interested, PM me and we will go from there. I want to keep detailed discussions about this project out of the forum so PM and/ or phone would be the preferred method of further discussion.
